FLORES MUSICAE – Festival of Medieval and Renaissance Music
ÆR & Komorebi
Trio Peltomaa Fraanje Perkola (Finland, Netherlands)
The trio Peltomaa Fraanje Perkola brings together voice, piano, viola da gamba, electronic effects and medieval harp to create a subtle sonic experience that transcends genre boundaries. The musicians draw from diverse traditions – from medieval and early music to jazz, Finnish folk music and contemporary sound exploration.
Their debut album ÆR was released in 2021 on the Fuga Libera label. This year, they released a new album with the same label titled Komorebi – a Japanese word that describes sunlight filtering through the leaves, capturing the interplay between light and shadow.
Aino Peltomaa – voice, medieval harp
Harmen Fraanje – piano, synthesizer
Mikko Perkola – viola da gamba, effects
In collaboration with the Musica Cortese Festival (Italy) and the Cultural Centre Nova Gorica
